Draw a closed loop to begin.
Manifold Seed Workbench · Guide

Draw a closed loop (optionally tracing an uploaded image); the bench measures the curve, finds hotspots, builds a manifold from it, runs probes over the surface, and exports a manifold seed.

The canvas

  • Draw a closed loop on the canvas to begin (the status bar prompts you). You can Upload Image first to trace over a reference underlay.
  • Edit Points / Redraw Section — refine an existing loop. Clear — start over.

Readouts

  • Curve Stats — raw points, sampled points, arc length, closure gap, hotspot count.
  • Hotspot Candidates — the salient points detected along your curve.

Visualize

  • Header toggles: smoothed, sampled, hotspots, surface (3D), plane, rotate, probes.
  • Visibility checkboxes: Loop Visuals, Picture Visuals, Runners, 3D Manifold.
  • Probe Mode: 3D Surface or 2D Overlay.

Run & export

  • Run Probes — release probes across the manifold in the chosen mode.
  • Export Seed — save the manifold seed JSON. Send to Backend — push it (Backend Descriptor appears).
  • The Provenance Log records every step; Configuration / Probe Types tune probe behavior.

How to use it

  • 1 — (Optional) Upload Image as a reference.
  • 2 — Draw a closed loop; check Curve Stats (watch the closure gap) and Hotspots.
  • 3 — Toggle surface / rotate to see the 3D manifold; pick a Probe Mode.
  • 4 — Run Probes, then Export Seed (or Send to Backend).
